Meet the Builder Behind MenuTap

When I started building products, I was not trying to build the next billion dollar startup. I just wanted to solve problems that I kept seeing around me.

One thing that always stood out was how small restaurants in India were still managing orders through paper menus, WhatsApp messages, phone calls, and expensive food delivery platforms. Many owners wanted to go digital, but building an app or website was simply out of reach because of the cost and the technical complexity.

That is where the idea for MenuTap came from.

MenuTap is an AI powered digital menu platform built for restaurants, cafes, cloud kitchens, and food businesses. Instead of spending weeks building a website, a restaurant can create a beautiful digital menu in minutes, share it with customers using a QR code, and start receiving direct orders.

But I did not want to stop at just digital menus.

I wanted every small restaurant to have access to AI without paying enterprise level prices.

That is why I started integrating Google AI into the product.

A customer can ask questions like:

"Which dishes are spicy?"

"I want something under ₹300."

"Suggest a vegetarian meal."

"What should I order if I like paneer?"

Instead of searching through a long menu, customers simply chat with the menu naturally.

For restaurant owners, AI helps generate menu descriptions, improve food listings, and make menus easier to understand for customers. Since India is multilingual, AI also helps make communication more accessible across different languages.

The biggest challenge was not writing code.

It was understanding how small restaurant owners actually work.

Many owners are not comfortable with complicated dashboards. They do not have time to learn new software. Everything needed to be simple enough that anyone could use it without technical knowledge.

So every feature in MenuTap is designed with one question in mind.

"Can a local restaurant owner use this in five minutes?"

That single question shaped almost every product decision.

Building for India also means building for different internet speeds, different languages, different devices, and different business sizes. What works for a large restaurant chain may not work for a family owned cafe.

That is why local context matters.

Google AI has made it much easier to bring intelligent features to businesses that otherwise could never afford them. Instead of replacing people, AI becomes an assistant that saves time and improves customer experience.

The journey is still just getting started.

There are many ideas I want to build next including smarter recommendations, customer loyalty programs, multilingual ordering, and more AI powered tools that help restaurants grow without increasing their workload.

My goal has never been to build AI for the sake of AI.

I want to build practical products that solve everyday problems for Indian businesses.

If even one small restaurant can save time, reduce costs, and serve customers better because of MenuTap, then I know I am building something that truly matters.

This is why I build.
